Mission:

To build resilience and help create and maintain work for persons with disability.

Goal:

Create sustainable livelihood opportunities for five thousand persons with disability across Gadag and Bengaluru districts by 2025.

At DEAL Foundation we adopt a conscientious and collaborative approach to understand and measure impact of our work on the lives of persons with disability and the communities they live in.

We:

1.Gather and analyze relevant data to assess and evidence impact.

2.Review outcomes achieved.

3.Evaluate impacts identified.

We work with our partners and stakeholders to:

1.Agree and define scope including timescale, location, areas of intervention and relevant parts of the value chain.

2.Put-in-place a structure to measure all relevant  social, economic and environmental impacts from each part of the value chain.

3.Map relevant datasets and undertake gap analysis.

4.Gather relevant data from primary and secondary sources including carrying out focus groups and surveys.

5.Quantify outcomes and track them over time.

In achieving our goal:

1. 239 persons with disability and 129 women successfully trained and involved in sustainable livelihood activities including 69 persons with disability in full time employment.
2. 350 persons with disability across Dambla Hobli in Gadag District supported through Financial Inclusion Programme in collaboration with KVG Bank.
3. Successfully delivered livelihood orientation and workshops sessions in collaboration with UASD to 540 persons across Mundargi Taluk.
4. Established the IFS model farm and sustainable rural livelihoods pilot.
5. Established financial literacy and inclusion pathfinder for persons with disability.
6. Developed a location-based, mobile-ready sales and marketing platform to empower MSME businesses founded by women SHGs and persons with disability.
